FLAT-HUNTERS have been left horrified by a tiny room in a London warehouse

FLAT-HUNTERS have been left horrified by a tiny room in a London warehouse listed for £680 a month.

The room in Clapton, East London, has bare floors and a ladder leading up to the bed - and the new resident will have to live with "six other creatives".

Snaps of the flat included in the ad on Facebook Marketplace this week show a flimsy wooden staircase leading from the completely bare floor up to a tiny sleeping area without any railing.

The only pieces of furniture in sight are a plastic chair, a small dusty rug and a yellow mattress hanging over the edge of the sleeping area.

Spatters of white paint are visible on the floor and door of the flat, with two bare lightbulbs the only source of light.

The advert for the flat reads: "Private room for rent. Mezzanine room in our shared warehouse in Clapton.

"Living with 6 other creatives, 3 bathrooms, roof terrace and gym/cafe downstairs :) and lots of plants.

"£680pm + 4 weeks deposit."

The flat's three bathrooms come with bare brick walls and wooden ceilings.

One flat-hunter said: "I didn't know there were favelas in London for £700."

It comes after a mum said her flat is so mouldy that she can put her hand through the wall - forcing her to share a bed with her 26-year-old son.

Another woman was horrified after she found a rat climbing out of her toilet - but her landlord said she was lying.

A third woman revealed how she was left speechless by her landlord's bizarre rent request - but people are divided.
